"Those Left Behind" Overview
The film depicts the conflicting and queasy state of those who are left behind while many others go overseas. Nai Qing is one of those left behind. After her husband goes to San Francisco, She meets Jia Dong, a taxi driver whose wife is in Japan. They feel lonely and fall in love with each other Nai Qing is pregnant. She is eager to let Jia Dong know this and calls him. But it is his wife who returns from Japan that answers her call. Finally Nai Qing makes up her mind to go to San Francisco. Jia Dong hurries to see her off. But before he arrives at the airport, the plane takes off. He feels sorry with tears in his eyes
